Excellent job! Mitchell explained that he needed to install the new springs differently than the original installation. I asked who would do a simple remove and replace so he offered a few names. But since these springs have a lifetime warranty, we went with these. Mitchell was very personable and the repair went quickly. He even replaced the rollers on each side of the doors with better quality ones.

The first thing that impressed me was the person I talked with yesterday; she was clear and honest in answering all my questions, and set up an appointment for me today. The technician/installer (Mitchell) arrived about two hours early, which was impressive as well. He diagnosed the problem as a failed controller board, and was able to find a replacement via his tablet. As the cost of the board was 60% of that of replacing the entire assembly, I opted for the latter; it was an unexpected expense, but with an opener that was more than 23 years old, the first failure is a sign that other failures may happen sooner than later. And the warranties (lifetime on important things and one year at no additional cost on the rest) sort of made the deal for me. This was a good experience which I will be happy to tell others about. We had a small mishap backing out of our garage this morning. One of the vertical tracks was hit causing it to twist rendering the door unusable. The spring broke on one of our garage doors and I could not open the door. I was at a very inopportune time. I was planning to leave within a few hours to deliver Christmas gifts to South Alabama since our daughter and grandson were planning to Huntsville for Christmas; however, our daughter just found out that she tested positive for COVID-19 this morning. I called Precision Door Service around 10:30 and found that they could schedule an appointment for between 12:00 and 2:00. The service technician, Mitchell, arrived a little after 12:00. He explained my repair options and provided the price for each option. I made my selection and he went to work. I did not time him, but I would guess he completed all repairs within 45 minutes. He was very professional and courteous in all of our interactions. I would highly recommend Precision Door Service to my friends and neighbors.
