The first thing that impressed me was the person I talked with yesterday; she was clear and honest in answering all my questions, and set up an appointment for me today. The technician/installer (Mitchell) arrived about two hours early, which was impressive as well. He diagnosed the problem as a failed controller board, and was able to find a replacement via his tablet. As the cost of the board was 60% of that of replacing the entire assembly, I opted for the latter; it was an unexpected expense, but with an opener that was more than 23 years old, the first failure is a sign that other failures may happen sooner than later. And the warranties (lifetime on important things and one year at no additional cost on the rest) sort of made the deal for me. This was a good experience which I will be happy to tell others about. Adam arrived and did a full inspection of my garage door. He did not have the 100# springs i needed. He said he would get them and return to install them along with new cables & pulleys. That was fine with me. He wanted to completely fix my garage door, so i wouldn't have any more problems, and make the repairs all at once.
